interconnection facilities "interconnection facilities" means the facilities and equipment necessary, in accordance with prudent utility practices, to connect a renewable energy installation to a connection point and enable a distribution licensee to receive renewable energy from the renewable energy installation while maintaining the stability of the electricity distribution network, including protection devices, metering equipment and applicable communication facilities;
